LL Cool J – Live In Maine 1985 (LP) [Let Them Eat Vinyl 2017]

£14.99

Some hip hop history from one of rap’s superstars. LL Coool J live in Colby College, Maine from 1985.

It was five months before his debut album Radio hit the shelves. It was less than a year before he celeberated his 18th birthday. And it was possibly the first ever hip hop performance in the state of Maine. A baby-faced LL Cool J visited Colby College in 1985 and introduced hip hop to a place that knew little of it. LL broke down all four aspects of the culture to a sparse crowd in attendance: emceeing, DJing, breakdancing and graffiti. It was an epic performance that truly sends shivers down your spine at witnessing the birth of hip hop outside the inner city. A must have for any true fan of the origins of rap.
